This past Sunday, I hosted my annual Christmas Party, a tradition Iâve kept alive since 2016. What started as a simple gathering of friends during the festive season has grown into something truly specialâa day everyone looks forward to, filled with warmth, connection, and a touch of magic.

For many of us, the holidays mean being far from family, especially in a bustling city like London, where the festive season can sometimes feel lonely. Thatâs why I pour my heart into these gatherings, creating a space that feels like home, where everyoneâold friends, new facesâcan connect and share joy.
This Yearâs Highlights
âš Traditions Evolve: While I love keeping the essence of the party the same, I also enjoy adding fresh touches each year. This time, I reduced meat on the menu, serving mostly vegetarian dishes with a couple of pescatarian options. My dream? Hosting a delicious vegan Christmas party someday!
âš Decorations Full of Memories: Every decoration I place has a story. Most were gifted by friends, making the process of decorating incredibly sentimental. For the past few years, Iâve trusted Green Elf Trees for my Christmas treeâthey never disappoint! This year, my tree was wonderfully chubby, and trimming it led to a delightful new idea: using the cut branches for ceiling and table decorations.
âš DIY Candles: I repurposed orange peels from my mulled wine to make little candlesâeco-friendly, fragrant, and full of festive cheer.

Why It Matters
Iâve always been a romantic about tradition, but I believe traditions thrive by evolving. This party isnât just about the seasonâitâs about creating a space where people feel comfortable, connected, and a little less lonely.
